World Antibiotic Awareness Week

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture's office in Al-Ahsa organized the World Antibiotic Awareness Week under the slogan Preventing Microbial Resistance Together. The event was held in collaboration with the Cooperative Association for Animal Wealth in Al-Ahsa at the ministry's unit in Hofuf. The event aimed to highlight the ministry's significant efforts in combating antibiotic-resistant microbes in the animal health sector to address threats to human health, food security, and sustainable development. It also raised awareness about urgent measures to stop antibiotic resistance, one of the biggest global threats to public health, humans, animals, plants, and the environment
