International Day of Rural Women and the Year of Handicrafts

The Fikr Agricultural Development Cooperative in Al-Ahsa organized an event celebrating the International Day of Rural Women and the Year of Handicrafts, with distinguished participation from the Al-Ahsa Livestock Cooperative. The event aimed to highlight the role of rural women in agricultural development and traditional crafts. The event shed light on the contribution of rural women to supporting the local economy and preserving handicraft heritage, in addition to showcasing the cooperative societies’ efforts in empowering women and enhancing their efficiency in agricultural and livestock production fields. The event was attended by Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Atiq, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Office in Al-Ahsa, who expressed his admiration for the efforts of the participating cooperatives and their collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing integration between agricultural and handicraft sectors. At the conclusion of the event, both cooperatives extended their thanks to all participating and supporting entities, reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration in serving the rural community and empowering women in various productive sectors.
